1) Nissan revised the artwork to fix the "weird" appearance (maybe in response to customer complaints about the gauge readings). For changes like this, it is typically a running change where old stock gauge faces may have been mixed in with new stock (possibly due to poor FIFO inventory control) over a period of time. 2) Nissan most likely supplied a drawing to multiple suppliers (redundant sourcing) and, in turn, they created artwork from the Nissan drawing to create the silkscreens. In this process, each supplier would create drawings and/or art files for Nissan to approve and either the difference wasn't noticed, or wasn't a concern. Dave
